Thermal-constellation companies join Copernicus Contributing Missions

Two New Space companies building satellites imaging in thermal IR have joined Copernicus Programme as Copernicus Contributing Missions (CCM).

The announcement was made at Le Bourget Paris Air Show on the 19th June 2023. Altogether 9 companies joined the CCM, among those two relevant for the thermal remote sensing: constellr and OroraTech. This will enlarge the CCM family to approximately 30 private-owned companies.

This is great news, because the Copernicus programme provides great amounts of free data for users around the World.
